Analytics & privacy
We use TelemetryDeck to understand which subway pages and upcoming-change controls people use, and when status data or the site fails.
We send page and trunk categories, service-status categories, grouped incident counts, a coarse screen-width category, a limited referral-source category, and our app release. We do not send alert text, incident IDs, URL queries or fragments, arbitrary referral addresses, or exception messages and stacks.
Random analytics identifiers are kept in this tab’s session storage, not in a persistent visitor profile. They normally disappear when the tab session ends; browsers may preserve or copy them when restoring or duplicating tabs. We do not link your visits across devices or to the iOS app.
Analytics requests go directly to TelemetryDeck, so its servers receive your IP address in transit. TelemetryDeck states that it does not store IP addresses. See its privacy policy for its handling of analytics data.
